With an eye on asset acquisition and enhancing production across Africa, Paul McDade has confirmed his attendance and participation at African Energy Week in Cape Town.

Africa’s premier energy event, taking place in Cape Town this week, unites Africa’s oil and gas explorers, producers, and energy chain stakeholders for a week of networking, engagement and deal making. Focused on signing deals with African ministers, asset owners, and oilfield operators, Afentra CEO, Paul McDade has been confirmed as a speaker at African Energy Week (AEW) 2021.

With years of experience in the oil and gas sector, McDade has emerged as a valuable participant at AEW 2021 in Cape Town. Notably, McDade has worked with international company Tullow and across Africa, the Middle East and Latin America, advancing the global energy sector. As founder and CEO, McDade has been instrumental in positioning Afentra as a global, Africa-focused oil and gas producer. Joining COO Ian Cloke and Chief Financial Officer Anastasia Deulina in Cape Town, McDade has committed to helping drive the discussion on asset acquisition, oil and gas in Africa, and opportunities for small-scale producers.

Representing the recently branded and re-focused energy company Afentra, McDade will come to Cape Town this week with a key mandate to increase the company’s portfolio of oil and gas projects. By taking over assets from global oil majors divesting from fossil fuels in Africa, Afentra is committed to ensuring the continent continues to reap the benefits associated with its hydrocarbon resources. Accordingly, by stepping up as a credible partner for producing nations, introducing carbon reduction technologies across key project developments, Afentra is leading Africa into a new era of environmentally friendly hydrocarbon production.

“Afentra represents a new age of independent explorers and producers all focused on assisting Africa realize its energy and economic objectives. With innovative technological solutions to reduce carbon emissions while improving production at key projects in Africa, Afentra is committed to Africa’s oil and gas future. In Cape Town, McDade will join other company representatives including Cloke and Deulina in advocating for Africa’s oil and gas future. Leading the discussion on asset acquisition, carbon reducing operations, and the role of oil and gas in Africa’s energy transition, McDade will not only enhance the conversation on African energy but drive it,” stated Tomás Gerbasio, Conference Director for AEW 2021.
