Dr. Lars Schernikau, raised in Berlin – Germany, is an energy economist and entrepreneur based primarily in Switzerland and Singapore. He is educated in The US, France and Germany
– Lars is a shareholder in the German publicly listed commodity company HMS Bergbau Group
– Lars joined the commodity business almost 20 years ago and before worked at The Boston Consulting Group in the US and Germany. Lars has founded, worked for, and advised a number of companies in the global raw material sector in Europe, Asia and Africa with focus on energy commodities.
-Today, next to his operational work in the commodity industry, he regularly speaks at major energy & commodity conferences and workshops around the world. Lars advises selected governments, banks, conglomerates, and various institutions on energy policy. He published two books and various scientific and press articles
– Lars is a forward looking and positive thinking macroeconomist with challenging views backed up by science. He has a positive approach towards critical thinking with the environment and long-term survival of our existence in mind.
– Lars has been studying energy commodities for the energy transition as well as causes and impacts of climate change for almost 10 years.
