About Gabriel Lorenzi

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Gabriel Lorenzi is an Industrial Engineer, with a broad experience providing technological solutions for the Oil&Gas Industry in South America, North America and Africa.
He led the introduction of Galileo’s small-scale liquefaction technology into the North American Upstream Market, and the deployment process of the first portable and small-scale liquefaction unit to reduce the gas flaring in drilling areas in the Bakken.

Under his leadership, Galileo engineered several new CNG filling stations in the U.S. and a Virtual Pipeline for CNG distribution in bulk.

Since 2016, as Sales Vice President, he started to develop the African Gas Market, focusing on flare gas reduction, gas monetization, and gas to power projects. He states that trillions of cubic feet of natural gas are flared, vented or left stranded due to a lack of takeaway capacity. Galileo proposes a Distributed LNG Production model to break this barrier, where small-scale mobile stations upgrade and liquefy gas onsite, allowing for its distribution as containerized LNG to reach off-grid consumers.
