Having served in the oil and gas sector since 1997, H.E. Obiang Lima served as Secretary of State for Mines and Hydrocarbons from 1999-2003 and Vice Minister of Mines and Hydrocarbons thereafter. In 2012, he was elected Minister of Mines and Hydrocarbons of Equatorial Guinea and was confirmed in office in June 2016.
